Friday night (April 10) a number of us assembled at the home of Ted Judy in Stoughton, Wisconsin to discuss the formation of a Madison, WI area aquarium club. It was fun and exciting–the participants generated many good ideas.

The following list summarizes the meeting highlights:
- We settled on a name, Madison Area Aquatic Hobbyists (MAAH).
- Regular club meetings will be held the 4th Saturday of each month.
- A committee was formed to investigate meeting location possibilities.
- Communication–primarily via Website and email groups.
- Fundraising, governance and club activities were also discussed.
- MAAH will probably seek non-profit, 501(c) status.
- Next planning meeting–May 15, location & time TBA.
- First regular meeting–June 27, location & time TBA.

Before and after the planning meeting we checked out some of Ted’s livestock. He has really great fish.
